WOW. When I say I have the best fans in the entire crafting world, I mean it! Your response to the new Holiday Trimmings Card Kit last week was fantastic!
Remember to check back right here every Tuesday and Friday for a great giveaway and an exclusive sneak peek at what’s coming up on my September 17th HSN shows. This Friday is also going to be extra special, because I will be unveiling a grand prize giveaway that you won’t want to miss hearing about…
…Seriously, don’t miss it.  It’s just that good.
Now, it’s prize time! Today we are giving away the new Christmas Sentiment Clear Stamps and the Set of 8 Holiday Ink Pads. Our first, of many lucky winners, is April L.! Congratulations!
I’ve got another double dose of sneak peeks for you today, so let’s get started!
First up is my new Christmas Washi Tape. These 12 rolls of festive decorative tape are going to work beautifully on your cards, layouts, envelopes, gift bags and so much more! Each stunning snowflake, music note, ornament and bough of holly was designed to coordinate perfectly with the Holiday Trimmings Kit as well. I love, love, love this washi tape and know that you will too!

Next I have to show you the new Christmas Die Cut Border Stickers. If you’ve bought our 12-inch border stickers before, you know that you are getting quality, dimension and beauty that you simply can’t find elsewhere. These 54 borders come in 9 unique designs from traditional to contemporary, and you’ll get two three-dimensional and four flat borders in each design.

Want a chance to win these two items before they are even available on HSN? Simply comment below or on our Facebook page telling me why you send handmade cards during the holidays versus the store bought kind, and we will draw a winner right here on Friday!
See you then!

Anyone can purchase a card from any store, but how many take the time to handcraft them???? Christmas is all about the LOVE and when I make a card I put my heart and soul into the craft. I only hope and pray the person that receives them can see and feel that love. One person that I sent a Christmas card has framed all 4 that I have sent her and she has already inquired about what I will be sending her this year, she is looking forward with anticipation.

I love to give home made cards for the holidays, have done it for years.  It's a little gift, that took some thought and effort rather than grabbing a box at the store.  I love to see the reactions from people when the open the card.  They really do appreciate getting something that I made!

Hi Anna:  I enjoy making homemade Christmas and all kinds of cards.
I love to make people happy.  I donate most of the cards that I make to the Womens' shelter of the Roanoke Rescue Mission.  They don't have money to guy cards.  This makes my heart happy to help someone who needs a boost.  Making cards is my therapy to keep my hands nimble and mind working.  Looking forward to Sept. 17th.

I love making handmade cards instead of store bought because it shows and extra special touch and the recipients normally will not throw a handmade card away.

Homemade cards make people feel special and it's an incredible feeling the spread that joy.  They know they are getting something made especially for them.

Hello Anna!  I took up the hobby of  scrapbooking and then card-making while I was in a wheelchair for eight months.  This particular craft relaxes me.  I have received so many compliments on my cards over the years!  My friends and family tell me they love receiving my cards in the mail.  I personally do not do much with emails or texting for greetings, but I sit down and take the time to send friends and family beautiful cards and so many are from your products - the prettiest cards I send, matter of fact.

Christmas is a time of remembering our blessings. As I make each card, special memories of the addressee come to mind and I like to incorporate these memories or traditions into my card. Sometimes they are recent memories, but the fondest ones are of many Christmases past that may have been tucked into the back of our minds. All it takes is a little trigger to bring them back along with the laughter or tears that make them special and remind us to count our blessings with each passing Christmas season. The elegance of Anna Griffin products just makes each of my cards a more lasting rememberance of the greeting of the season.

Yay! Already ordered your beautiful new dies, (which may are say are a fabulous price compared to others), and your super new embossing folders. I love your Christmas washi tape and I'm so looking forward to seeing your other lovely goodies on QVC UK on Friday.
Handcrafted cards are always received with appreciation for the time and TLC that goes into making them x

To make Anna Griffin Christmas cards is to enjoy preparing for Christmas, which is my favorite part! Besides, everyone deserves to receive an Anna Griffin card (that you let me take the credit for, "gush!"). Each card I make & send is a way to send a "gift" to everyone on my list.

I just love making cards  over buying them

I have a daughter just turning 9.  My neighbor, Jeanette Falcon (who absolutely loves your products and not only talks about them all the time but will show us new ones she has received or ones she is waiting to receive) makes such beautiful cards that my daughter Lillie is anticipating and looking most forward to the card that Ms. Jeanette makes for her than her presents.  If that doesn't say something, I don't know what does.  Your items are beautiful and I am loving perusing your site.  I, unfortunately, don't have a creative bone in my body but I am trying and seeing the way there are "collections" of products, even I may be able to make something beautiful!!!

I like making homemade cards.  It gives me great joy to put a card together and get it ready to send.  I also like all the calls I get afterward.  People think I'm so talented...Little do they know, my talent is purchasing Anna Griffin cards.

Hi Anna, maybe the question should be why wouldn't you make homemade cards for friends and family.  First of all they're totally unique.  You're not going to see that card coming back at you.  I once had 4 of the same cards received during the Christmas season.  I didn't think they were very special.  Second, they are absolutely beautiful.  No one has ever thrown away a handmade card that I sent them.  They always call to tell me how beautiful they are and how much they appreciate them.  They also tell me they save them from year to year to put out again.  Third, they're a bargain and so much fun to do.  Thanks to you and your crew.  You truly think of everything.  And I'm so glad you do.  I'm an accountant not a designer but I still love beautiful stationery and cards.  Fourth, I think they really convey the meaning of the season and during the year they show thoughtfulness and the fact that you are willing to take the time to do something special for that person you are sending the card to.  I'm so thankful that you make these kits and that I have the opportunity to buy them at a reasonable price.  I really hope I win either of the prizes.  I've never won anything in my life but I certainly would love to win either of these.  I can't wait to see the borders and tape up close and personal.  I'm a senior and making your cards fills up some of my extra time with something useful and beautiful in the end.  Hope each of your days are a great as they can be, I appreciate you and your gifted talent.  Sincerely,  Lorraine Koschock

I think our serviceman( men&women) would appreciate a beautiful care using your beautiful card kits. Receiving a handmade card from a complete stranger would show them that people back home care enough to take time out of their busy lives to craft a card for them since they are away from their family and friends

Your question made me think about the residents at an assisted living facility where I go once a month.  I will make cards for all the residents and deliver them when I go in December.  Thanks for jogging my thinking!

Making and sending hand made cards is fun for me and is a nice way,  in this day and age of electronic media, to stay in touch with something personal.
  23. Posted by: Paige L.
Homemade cards for Christmas always brighten up my December! My mom always makes handmade cards for everyone in my family and I always look forward to them. Unfortunately I only have enough time to make a few Christmas cards each year, but when I do I make them with my mom, and we always end up using your products in some way!
  24. Posted by: Donna
Hi Anna, I am so excited about your new products. This year I plan to make Christmas cards for every person on the "sick and shut in" list at my church, just to show them that they are not forgotten.
  25. Posted by: Myra Goddard
    Hi Anna,
Love making cards using your products. They have given me an added dimension I didn't have before. The cards I make seem to bring people joy. They are an upgrade from OTC (over the counter) ones, as I can say exactly what I want, and convey a very personal message to each person.
  26. Posted by: wendy
I make all my Christmas cards, I feel like receiving a handmade card is like receiving a gift., because you put so much more in handmade cards.  I know I love a homemade card over a store card any day!
  27. Posted by: Diane Hunter
I love making handmade cards. I'm so happy when I've created something beautiful. And the people who receive them always love them too and save them and display them. It's a great feeling.
  28. Posted by: Pam C
Unfortunately I haven't made cards as much in the past as I would have liked to.  I scrapbook twice a month with my mother, 2 sisters, niece and great niece.  I started much sooner than they did so I suggested us getting together every month so that I could teach them many different techniques so they could enjoy it even so much more.  I never really was into making my own cards but after continuously seeing the cards you make as well as all the beautiful card making supplies that you design I think I am going to try to start making my own.  I have made many things in the past and given them away as gifts for many different occasions to family and friends who have absolutely loved them.  I don't know why it has taken me so long to decide to start making all my cards for family and friends.  I enjoy scrapbooking so much and card making isn't really different other than you usually don't put pictures on the cards although you can.  I can even make the cards when we get together to scrap because only I will know which card is for who.  I absolutely LOVE your products, you have such a great talent to be able to design such beautiful things, I only wish I had that kind of talent.  It would be so fantastic if I were to win your Christmas Craft Giveaway because I would then have so much top grade supplies to start me off making my homemade Christmas cards for this year.  I absolutely love seeing the looks on their faces and/or hearing how much my family and friends enjoy receiving, reading, continuously looking at and saving the things that I have made for them and my starting to make cards would just be one more thing that is added to their list of saved items.

I will be anxiously awaiting to see if I am the lucky winner of your beautifully designed Christmas Craft Giveaway for 2013, I will keep my fingers crossed.  Thank you for this opportunity to enter this giveaway.

Hi Anna  The reason I prefer handmade to store bought is basic to me. Each card I send is created for the person I am sending it to, not mass produced but lovingly created just for that person. I give much time and thought to my cards, so each person feels special when they receive and they know they won't see one in another home just like it. You can not achieve that satisfaction with store bought cards.
  31. Posted by: Judy Thompson
Cards are so expensive to buy and never say the things you want to say. This will be my first time to make personalized cards for the holidays. I feel these will become keepsakes for my children and family. I am so excited to be able to make beautiful cards that I know will be cherished. I am sure will be a lot of fun for me to make and will truly be from my heart. I have received many things over the years and they mean more to me than anything that could have ever been purchased. Anna your cards are just so beautiful and I can't wait to get started. I will be there Sept 17th and I can't wait to get your cards. Thanks so much!

I would rather make handmade cards because it is more personal.  I love your products, Anna! (My comment didn't show up so I tried again!)

I make handmade cards for Christmas and other times of the year because I have so much fun doing it!  I know that the recipients feel special when they receive them, probably keep the cards (I hope) because they are beautiful, appreciate the time I spent on each of them personally, but it all comes down to the fact that I LOVE expressing my creativity through art - and your card kits are "Art-Made-Easy!"
  35. Posted by: Lynn M.
I'm not a creative person, but using Anna Griffin products, I'm going to
be making Christmas card masterpieces that are beautiful and unique!
Family and friends will treasure the beauty and personalization of their
    cards!  Thanks to Anna Griffin!
  36. Posted by: Tammy K
I prefer to make handmade cards because they are just more special. I think it tells the person you give them to how special they are to you. It's so easy to just go buy a card, but to make one shows you cared enough to make the time to create them something special.
  37. Posted by: Debby W
I started crafting with my two precious little grands kids when they were living here state side (father is in the Navy). Two years ago when they moved overseas I began making Christmas cards for them. Thank you Anna for creating such wonderful kits. I now make cards for all my family and friends, as well as spouses business contacts.

Anna – Your Christmas Washi Tape and Holiday Borders are beautiful, and I look forward to using them as I make my Christmas cards this year!  I make cards because they are little works of art that can be made in a short period of time, and they give so much joy to the recipients.  I personalize each one, using color themes and images I know a family member or friend will like – and it is as if I am spending time with each person in my heart as I make a card especially for that particular person.  I have been a card maker for 5 years and use your products almost exclusively . . . my style is Anna’s style.  Thank you for the products and inspiration!

I knew how I felt about sending hand crafted cards. Besides being productive and therapeutic and satisfying. You also get the opportunity to spend the time you to think about the recipient and exactly what they what like to look at and truly personalize them!Everyone has a distinct style and tastes and you get the pleasure of creating something just for them and they feel it.
I asked my sweet Mother how she felt when she received hand crafted cards. She indicated to me the feelings were many! Here are a few of her thoughts; "special", "unique" "want to find a way to display it", treasure it"!    Love that! I am so happy that I can provide  a feeling like that for someone! So I thank you Anna for giving me the tools to accomplish a special experience like a hand crafted card for someone!

Can't wait to see what's next!

Much thanks to you and your talented team!

    Hi Anna,

It is fun to make cards.  You take more of your precious time to make cards than to go to the store and pick one. It means more.   It is gratifying when people love your cards.

    Thank you

I send homemade cards because I enjoy making them, and it is nice to create something special for someone. I wish I had more time to make more. I love the new stickers!  They are my favorite embellishments so far!

I send personal cards for just that reason - they are Personal. I like to make a sincere connection with my friends and family and personal cards allow me to create an individual card to match the recipient and  provide a personal connection.

Anna,  I love your new products and can't wait to get them all!

There are several reasons why I love to send handmade cards during the holidays (and for all other occasions).  First, a handmade card is created from the heart, mind and soul.  I truly feel that much thought should go into each card that is made for a specific individual.  I always personalize the verbiage to the individual and try to make a card that would be pleasing to them.  Second, I can't stand to go to a store and look for a card.  I can never find one that has the verbiage I want to go with the front of the card.  I use to spend at least a half hour (or longer) looking for a card for one person, and would always leave without buying one.  Third, your beautiful creations make it so much easier to come up with card ideas, and now having your beautiful book on making cards, it really helps get my brain in gear!  Fourth, I am basically home bound due to health issues (for the past ten years or so), and my happiness comes from making cards and other items for our friends and family.  It also helps take my mind off my problems, and focus on the individual I am making the card for.  It makes my heart lift when I'm told that my niece's and nephew's have saved every card I have made them, and display them on they're dressers.  Wow, that is something to really lift my spirit!

So, I'd love to have the chance to win some of your new products so that I can share them with all my family and friends.  Thanks you so much for all the work, heart and soul that you put into designing your kits, etc.  It always amazes me how creative your are.  I don't think I could ever come up with the beautiful designs that you create.  Thank you so much for giving us all an opportunity to win some of your lovely and much desired products!!!!!

I enjoy taylor making cards to fit each person/family's personality or a card to represent a special vacation or event that took place in their lives each year. Everyone is always excited, trying to anticipate what magic will appear in their next card!

I love making handmade cards for Christmas (as well as other times).  Can't afford to do gifts for ALL family and friends but a little gift of taking the time to make a lovely handmade card can let those people know how special they are - that you are willing to invest your time and effort in giving them something lovely from the heart!
  50. Posted by: Eileen
Anna,  Is there any chance that future holiday items might contain some icons for Hanukkah or a small holiday kit that could be used for Hanukkah and maybe generic items good for use for all the holidays thruout the year? While I make Christmas cards for work, I would seriously love to make handmade cards and pages for my family and friends! Thanks much!
  51. Posted by: Nancy B
I enjoy making people feel special. They seem to really appreciate the efforts that I make to customize each card just for them.
  52. Posted by: Cynthia R.
The card kits are soo much more beautiful and detailed than the store bought ones, there really is no comparison! I love the fact I can do them individually and make them more personal than picking one off the rack. Thank you for bringing your wonderful products to each and every one of us. Especially me! I am not talented at all and this allows me to feel good about myself creating such things of beauty!

    Hi, Anna!
Back for another try!  I LOVE making handmade cards.  I started doing this before I bought the first of your card kits because I live in a very small town with few options for quality cards--especially when I needed one that said exactly what I wanted it to.  I discovered along the way that they all should be that way!  When I found your cards, I was delighted and have bought almost all of your kits.  I wrote on your blog a couple of weeks ago that a friend of mine received an album from her daughter into which she'd put every last card I've ever made for her!  So no question that your cards bring great joy to the recipient!  I've bought almost--maybe all--of your border kits so know that this one has to be as gorgeous as the rest.  Have never used washi tape but I know it has to be fun and will expand everything I now can do with your kits and "a la carte" items.   PLEASE, PLEASE, draw my name tomorrow!

I love to make homemade cards because the recipient knows just how special they are when they receive one.  I get the best feedback on all my cards.....EVERYONE loves them.  I actually have been asked to make dozens of them for an upcoming Artisan Fair.  I am now hard at work making dozens of them with all the great embellishments etc. that I have been buying from Anna!  Thanks so much....can't wait to do my Christmas Cards next.  I took them to a crop last year and worked on them for three days to make them all so special and they certainly were gorgeous when done.

When I was a child, it was always the handmade gift from my grandma or mom that was the most special and I knew they made it just for me with love so I try to pass that feeling on to my special friends and family!!!!
  58. Posted by: Norine Butcher
Hi Anna, I used to buy store bought cards and then add my own touch of embellishments to them. Then I got the idea that that was silly. Now I make my own and everyone enjoys them so much more. It is actually less stressful for me too!  Your products are beautiful and I will be adding some of your ideas on my cards this year! Thank you for all you do!

A handmade card says " I LOVE YOU" like no store bought card can.
  60. Posted by: Kathy
I enjoy making cards - this way I am able to match my thoughts exactly for the person I'm sending it to rather then just picking one out at the store.
  61. Posted by: Donna Doherty
I enjoy making homemade over store bought cards because it's that personal touch that makes each one of them so special. It's the same as a mom who would rather have a card made by her children, rather than have a card bought for them to give. I have older children, in their teens and still tell them to not buy me a card but make me one. That special kind of feeling you get when it's made with love is precious and will never get old!

I want to send hand made cards this year to not just say I care, but to show!   Actions speak louder than words!

I love making cards and hopefully the person receiving the card loves it as much as I do. Your kits always make up beautiful cards. Thank you for all the beautiful paper products.

I send handmade cards for the samw reason I use to sew all my clothes....the creativity, indivduality, no one has one JUST LIKE IT!!!!!  No two are exactly alike....I love that part......

I stajust love them!rted making cards several years ago and they were received with such amazement and gratitude that I have continued making them. Now everyone knows when a holiday or birthday rolls around they will get something special made with them in mind! now that I have started using Anna's kits and embellishments I know everyone will

Anna, I love making my own cards because I can choose the colors, the embellishments, and the sentiments.  Plus, your "card-making kits" make all of this sooooo easy.  You can't do this with store-bought cards.  By the way, guess who's cards my mom keeps and displays at her home?  Thank you and God bless you & your family!!!!

    Hi Anna,
Homemade cards show just how much you care.  What greater gift can you give than something handmade?  Thanks for helping make it so much easier!

Christmas is my most favorite holiday/Holy Day all year, so I strive to make and send the BEST....and my best are hand made cards. If I don't make them, I don't send them. Store bought cards just can't compare ! Hand made cards say "sent with love, from my house to yours" ~~ and they are appreciated !

Hi Anna! I make handmade cards because I like to think of others. My Grandma  was great about remembering others by sending them cards and so honor her by doing the same thing. My first card kit was an Anna Griffin card kit! Thank you for the chance to win!

I prefer hand made vs store bought because my recipients look forward to getting them.  Some have even been framed and are kept each year and brought out to look at again and again.

I truly love making your cards! I'm a residency coordinator at Washington University School of Medicine.  Every year I'm in-charge of making/creating the graduation program. This past June 2013, I decided to use your thank you/birthday card packs. I just change the greetings to "Congatulations". OMG it was the best program cards ever! Some of the guest at the graduation asked me if they take some of the cards home - that's the first.  Everyone was asking me if I made the cards and I said yes with some help from my friend Anna Griffin!!!  Now I have a big problem - what will I use for next year's graduation? I guess I can use my Anna Griffin's Cuttlebug, your card kit that works with the Cuttlebug and your wonderful boders! Thank you so much for making such great products. I always record your presentations at HSN and will watch you again in September. I will record the shows like I always do and watch it over and over again. I will be asking for a vacation day in September so I can watch you live on HSN.

I try to make my own cards for every occaision because it shows those that receive them that they are special.  Not only did I care enough to send a card, but I took extra time and effort into making it especially for them.  I also have to admit that I love getting all the compliments after I send them!

I love to make my own cards because my granddaughter little friend
when she saw the birthday card that I made for my husbands Birthday she said wow how beautiful I could imagine how my birthday card is going to look, now we are
mentioning a 8 year old so could you imagine what an adult would say when they receive a handmade card, it's worth the time to see the impression on their faces. That's why I love to make my own cards, I make people HAPPY!!!!

Hi Anna, Making homemade cards started when I first started dating my husband in 2006. It actually was a Christmas card that was my first homemade card. The reaction I received when I gave him his card was priceless. I could tell he appreciated the time and effort I put into his card. Ever since then I’ve been making him and other loved ones homemade cards. You see I’m not very good expressing my thoughts and appreciation through words, but I can definitely show you how much I care when making a card. I love doing special things for those I love and card making is my specialty. It’s such a good feeling to see your loved ones face light up when they receive a homemade card and it’s even better feeling when you see your mom framing a card that you made her. =) Homemade cards definitely take time to make, but with your help and your card kits, making homemade cards is easy, creative, and fun. I can’t wait until September for your Christmas kit, because once I receive my “box of fun” it’s wine and card making time!

I sent a card I made with one of your kits to a friends for her birthday, and she wrote back to thank me and said that my cards put Hallmark on notice!

I make handmade cards because I love to make them and because the people I send them to invariably write me to say than you for  the most beautiful card.  They inspire me to make them better every time.

Making my own cards shows I care about the recipient.  It not only makes them feel good but me too, giving me a bit of extra time to think about them personally and focus on the special occasion.

Love your new products and will be watching on 9/17!  I got tired of going to the store and not finding a special card for each person and decided it was time for me to make my own.  Thought that the time I spent looking for cards would be better utilized creating my own.  So each person now gets a hand made card made with tons love and from my heart.  Now people wait to receive from me and what special treat I will create for them.  That just makes me beam!!!!!!

I love making homemade cards. I know my friends and family appreciate them more than store bought. It's very satisfying to give something handmade to those you love. I have never used washi tape before and would like to try it with my Christmas projects. The borders look spectacular and would add a special touch to cards and scrapbook pages!

I thoroughly enjoy making and sending my homemade Christmas cards around the holidays because it gives me a chance to "calm down"
and unwind during the rush of the holiday season. I can immerse myself in the methodical routine of stamping, trimming, folding, embellishing, and then the final "oo-ing and aah-ing" over the finished project.  Using your products always makes the end result more spectacular, and thank you for that.

I love making the handmade cards because the recipient is more likely to keep this card and display it year after year on the counter or in a basket.  My Mother would keep hers in a box and pull them out
from time to time and remember people or special memories.  Hand-made cards let people know how special and important they are to you.

When I was attending elem. school I loved my art class.  I loved the little red portfolio that was required along with the manila & construction paper, crayons and scissors.  And though I wasn't that artistic I just loved to express myself with my drawings of little houses and swings.  As soon as I was old enough to learn about scrapbooking I was hooked, then came the cards and rubber stamping.  I love making cards because it reminds me of my younger days, still expressing myself and knowing that I have given a part of me to someone else.

Let's face it in this fast paced world everyone's time is so valuable. When you get a card or gift that someone has taken their precious time to make it really means something. You mean something to them. It's like a hug from them to you. And Anna makes it so easy and beautiful. So we can't wait to see you again Anna and all the gorgeous things that you make for us.

Well, I've been making handmade crafts since I was.....well, I don't know how old! I don't remember ever not being into crafts of all varieties.  To me, this world is going away from the handmade.  Too many people want things instant. Grab a card at the grocery store and be on there way. Or send an e-card.  I can't take it!!! I LOVE making handmade cards. And so appreciate the time effort put into them. I just hope other people can do the same. Let's get back to hand written, handmade cards and letters people. Thanks for letting me vent. I love ALL of your products Anna!! I can't wait to see them on the 17th.

Anna, I bought your Christmas Card Kit last year. In early December I made a fire in the fireplace, put the Christmas music on, made myself a cup of hot cocoa and made cards for all of my friends and family. It was so much FUN crafting with beautiful papers, and each one was like a small personal gift coming right from my heart to them. I'd recommend your Christmas Card Kit to anyone who wants to get into the spirit of Christmas!

The answer is twofold:  I enjoy the creative process in hand making a card or a scrapbook layout and the recipient is always thrilled to receive something made by my hand rather than a machine.

Thank you, as always, for organizing these give a ways and being so generous with your products.  :)

Hello, Anna! Just love all your products! In response to your question... I love making handmade cards because it's that more personal. It makes the card more special and the recipient feels that. My family and friends, both here in the States and in the Philippines, love receiving my handmade cards (with your help, of course!). It does require time and effort but the fact that making those cards came from the heart... it's all worth it!

I grew up making Christmas cards with my older brother every Christmas.  My Mom kept a big box of cards from previous years and we would pick out a card and draw our own version of it, using crayons and colored pencils.  We were poor and we were taught that something made was a more treasured gift than anything store bought.  I make Christmas cards, as well as birthday and other holiday cards for the special people in my life.  And I keep a bin of all cards I have received that my girls grew up "copying", learning to draw and color and write sincere greetings.  As children, my brother and I would have been in awe of your beautiful paper and tapes!
    Keep creating beauty!  Callie Lindberg

Oh dear Anna, I craft Christmas cards because so much in the world is "canned" that if we crafters don't keep things personal I am afraid of what might happen.  Carving out time to put your hands to work on a special card says a lot to the person who receives it.  I imagine their faces when they open their mail box to find something other than a bill.  My BFF Patti and I get so excited about cards we make for each other we can't even wait for the other person to get them in the mail.  We email pictures of the cards before the postage even gets on the envelope.

Dear Anna,  Store bought cards can occasionally be quite beautiful............but the prettier they are the more they cost.  Then, if you are buying several or a quantity as at Christmas it becomes a major expense.  I can buy an Anna Griffin kit and have 50 gorgeous cards...every one as personalized as I choose, plus the joy of crafting, for the cost of ten of those impersonal same-old verses store bought variety! I can't wait to see your new holiday kit...Make sure to bring enough!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been making my own cards for so long that I have paid little attention to what was available at the store.  Recently when walking by the card section, I decided to take a look.  I was shocked at the poorer quality of the product and even more so by the price they are asking.  My family and friends are always telling me how much they love my cards.  Most say they still have every card I have given them.  With Anna's help the last three years, the compliments have been even greater.  One friend said I put Hallmark to shame.  That made me laugh.

Hi Anna! I started making handmade cards as a way to justify all my scrapbooking purchases (years and years ago). It has turned into a passion that keeps growing as I learn about new products and techniques. And, the bonus is, friends and family absolutely love and save the cards I make them....I am especially addicted to your papers and stamps because of their high quality! I hope you never run out of ideas and items to bring us! Thanks so much!

It's a celebration of it!   Reaching out with a handmade card, regardless of the occasion, shows how much you care to brighten their day -  whether you know them for a lifetime or just met them.

I started making handmade cards after watching you on TV many years ago.  I love your papers, etc..   I especially love giving them to my sister, who can't wait for anniversary, birthday and Christmas to get my cards!!!  She would rather get one of my "Anna Griffin" cards than a gift!  I really get a scenes of joy knowing how much she loves them.  I use all of your examples for the first set, and try to mix them up on the second.  (I really need your examples!).  I can't wait for the new "Green Box"!.

    Hi Anna:

One reason that I like homemade cards is that it reminds me of my grandma.  I can remember her telling stories of the different things that they had to do in order to just get by.  If they needed something they made it out of things that they had lying around.  She would make us things that I still have to this day even though she has not been with us for over 23 years.  I hope to give those memories to my family and that they will feel my love for many years to come.

Like a lot of others, I started card making as a way to save money on card giving...but it has become so much more!!  I have made wonderful new friendships through card making, have re-discovered the art of letter writing and been able to bring smiles to the faces of family, veterans, shut-ins and many others through card giving.  Thank you for your creativity that has inspired mine.

I love to make handmade cards to give because the people I give them to always tell me they keep my cards and they feel special because they are made and designed especially for them and that makes them feel special.

Hi Anna I love all your products and watching QVC uk when you are on unfortunately I can't always watch it live and by the time I do get to see it your items have sold out and the craft shops over here don't seem to stock your things which is frustrating to say the least.I do soooo! Love all things you design

I was never artistic and was always envious of such talented people as yourself.  A friend called me one day and asked if I wanted to go take a beginners class in card making.  I went and never looked back.  I love to make cards because mine is always the first one my grandkids want to open and it makes me so proud.  They always love them and they all keep them for all the years.  Now I have a great grandson to make for too.  So the fun just keeps going.  I have had many of your kits over the years.  Love them.  Thanks.

Hi Anna I love making homemade cards so much. Making them with each person in mind. I have a close friend named Doe so every year she gets a card with a reindeer on it. I like putting a special effort into each one I make. So many people tell me that they keep them from each year. I always add the year under my name. Your kits are so beautiful that. I can not wait to share them. Thanks for all of your hard work!

Handmade Christmas cards to me truly bring back the Christmas Spirit of giving. The difference between bought and handmade is the time and love it takes to carefully design each card from the heart. Anna makes it easier for us because she did the thinking for us designing each piece to coordinate with everything else in her kits. Thank u Anna for making us all look like a pro at every card we send! Now that's a lot of LOVE! Aloha ~ Cee

I have always been a Hallmrk girl. (Still get tons of Christmas Ornaments). Because I have always cared enough to send the very best. But now I care enough to make the very best with Anna's help. LOVE those new borders.

I love to send homemade cards, because I can personalize it to each person who receives it. Plus, store bought cards don't compare to homemade. If it's a Christian card, then it's usually ugly on the outside, but beautiful on the inside. I want perfection! I want to include the real reason for the season and beautiful art all in one! I love Washi Tape and borders! I look forward to using them on my Christmas cards.

I love making handmade cards, especially for the holidays as they are a gift of love...your card kits make them even simpler so I really get happy compliments when I send AG cards!
  170. Posted by: Jo Ann Portell
Nothing says Love more than a homemade card!  These past 3 years that I've sent out Anna's Christmas cards, I actually had 3 friends send me thank you notes because they loved them so much!  So remember this equation:  AG Christmas Cards+your time+your creativity+your passion =LOVE! As Anna says, "I make all things beautiful!:  Yes, Anna you do and you make us all look so good too!Thank you!

  171. Posted by: CathyTD
Why do I make handmade Christmas cards.  Because I can!  Everyone I send a card to seems to really enjoy seeing what I have created for them.  I think that after all these years they would be offended if I got them a card from the store.  And I LOVE making them, especially using all my AG papers and embellishments.  Making the 60 or so cards I send each year is one of the things I look most forward to each year.

  172. Posted by: Annette
I just started scrapbooking and cardmaking this year, and I have always been a crafter, but I was intrigued by how beautiful and detailed you can make a card that is handmade.
  173. Posted by: Shona
I can't afford to buy everyone a gift at Christmas, but a homemade card always says that the recipient means enough to you that you took the time to make them something special and unique. Every card is made with love!
  174. Posted by: Tracy
Anna, I love to make handmade cards for many reasons. First reason is it becomes much more personal when designed by hand and made with love. Second my friends and family would be offended if I would dare buy them a store card!!! Third is they collect them, I have one friend that puts them in a frame, she changes them out when I send a new one!!!!! LOL. Love you girl,,,can't wait for that washi tape my new addictive thing. Love Tracy
  175. Posted by: Mary Roberson
Honestly, I enjoy creating cards + gifts with paper, especially paper of high quality, like AG's. When I make a card, I feel a sense of accomplishment and I'm proud of what I was able to create with my own 2 hands. I enjoy giving them to others because it makes the recipient feel special (knowing you took your time to make something for them).
  176. Posted by: Brenda Berry
GORGEOUS!!!  I just love everything I am seeing here!  Can't wait 'til September!!!  OK...I have been making cards for several years now and am rather addicted!  I love the personal touches I can craft into my cards vs. those bought from the store.  They are truly made with love!!! Besides...My friends would hang me by my ribbon stash if I sent out something from the store!  They love the cards I make for them and many even FRAME them to decorate their homes!!!  How cool is that?

I like to send home made cards because I enjoy making cards and I think people enjoy recieving home made ones. It is like receiving a little gift!

Duh... Who doesn't love a handmade card! Because someone took the time to make something special just for you.

I send handmade cards each Christmas because its sending a little piece of me and my thought of them to them. My gift from my heart. I missed a year because of illness (but they didn't know that) and I was let known how much they missed my handmade cards. It made me feel so good.
  180. Posted by: Jo Ann M.
Why would you not make your own Christmas cards when you show us so many creative ideas and items to buy to make beautiful handmade cards?
  181. Posted by: Debbie McL
    Hi Anna~
It makes me happy to send handmade cards to my loved ones in the Netherlands because I am not able to visit them in person  during Christmastime.  In this special way I can send them a little bit of "me" as a small Christmas gift.  I much prefer sending  a handmade card over a store bought card because taking the time to make a little treasure for a loved one says I love you and I am truly thinking of you as I lovingly create the cards for each of them.  Your new Christmas washi tapes and borders are exquisite Anna!  Sincerely, Debbie

    Hello Anna
like everyone else's comments, I love your products and the care and art evidenced in every piece you offer. Thanks for that.

I love making cards for family and friends because it is something no one else can give them...this special and small piece of art. No one is like the other. Those to whom I send these little creations know it was made especially for them as a little gift. Thanks for helping me create my treasures.

OMG I love the washi tape and would never have thought to use as ornaments. I love making cards because it brings out the creative part of me and someone mentioned above they think of that person while making them and I too think about that person while making them. To me it makes it very personal and when my family/friends get them they love the cards knowing how much of myself  is in them.  I can't wait till you are on HSN. Last time I bought so much and want more!!!!!!!

I like making handmade cards for Christmas because it's the time I reach out to friends & family that maybe I don't see or communicate w/ during the year very much, along w/ the ones I do, & I want something special to let them know how special & loved they are by me! It's also a time to share my love of Jesus w/ them.

I love sending handmade cards at Christmas (also all year long).
It's so nice to get a really different card, the ones you buy every year start to look the same (many times they are).  I get feed back on the handmade cards I send out because they are so different.  The real difference is the beautiful products we buy from you.  The last borders I got from you were beautiful.  Such a joy to work with.  Thanks, Anna!!!

For me, Christmas is the most beautiful holiday of the year. I had never found any store-bought cards that I thought came close to expressing the beauty of the holiday. Last year I retired and for the first time in many years, I had the time to make Christmas cards with your card kit. The elegance and beauty of your designs truly express my ideas of what a Christmas card should be! I would love to win any of your giveaways. Thank you for the opportunity to enter the contests.

Well I must say the Washi Tape is fabulous!!!! I cannot wait to have some in my hands :)  I love to create and making handmade cards over store bought is no exception. I feel it shoe that I care and I make each card unique for the recipiant. I prefer a card made from the heart to any other gift or card, not everyone is crafty but we all have a special talent.

Making cards by hand creates a special piece of art for the recipient, which hopefully they will enjoy as much as we enjoy making the cards. It is so fun to make up the cards, then select just the right one for that special person on your holiday list! Thank you, Anna, for making such great products!

Hi Anna,   I know how much I love receiving handmade cards. I appreciate the time, thought & effort that went into the card that was made just for me. I started a book with the cards because I just couldn't bear to throw them away. In this day & age, where every thing seems so impersonal & people don't connect like they used to, (guess I'm old school, I'd rather talk or  use Skype than text), I love the personal touch.  You make that process easier.  One can follow your lead but you give us the opertunity to play on our own.  Thank you for shharing  :-)

Hi Anna, I love sending homemade Christmas cards because I enjoy making them and it gets me in the holiday spirit. They also mean a lot to the people who receive them, I have had many people tell me that they keep all the cards I've made for them because they were so beautiful (and that is only due to your products and inspirations)! I never used to make cards until I started using your products and now I am so glad I did! Thank you Anna for all your beauty and creativity.

Hand made cards are just another way to show people you value them...it's going a little above and beyond a common card anybody can pick up at the store.  While I am making a card for someone I usually say a prayer for them just to add a little more love.
All the other "Griffies" will understand!!!   (Griffies by the way are Anna Griffin "groupies". LLol love you Anna.

Hi Anna, card making is a lot of fun for me and my granddaughters. We make handmade cards at Christmas and throughout the year. It's a way we can express love and creativity especially for the recipient. My friends and family really appreciate the thoughtfulness and beauty of our cards. They think we are creative but we also owe a big thanks to you and your great products!

Actually I did send store bought cards (Anna Griffin brand) until you began to supply the lovely products for us to use at home.  My first card designs came from your Papercrafting Curriculum years ago, and those were limited.  Now the possibilities are endless!  Love seeing the samples you bring to HSN... looking forward to September 17th!

The reason I luv to make home made cards is because I luv the creativity that goes into them - I will never buy a store bought card again - My mom is 87 yrs old and we have a cousin that is also 87 yrs old - well, I got my mom into anna griffin card making but  she always has me to do all of the holiday cards for christmas - I always make sure I send our cousin the biggest and the best looking card (they all look good - huh, anna griffin) - when I found out that for the last 2 years our 87 yr old cousin had saved all of these cards and have them all situated on her mantle, I wept - she told my mom that she gets up and reads each one everyday and I never realized the impact that a homemade card has on a persons life, it is as if they know it is made with so much love and they do really feel special when time is taken out to make it for them - I make these cards and I cry, especially because I know that our cousin looks forward to them - we send her home made cards just because, heck, we make up an occassion just to bless her soul and call it a holiday or love card - I love doing this, I don't look the way of cards when I am in any store that has them - homemade cards really do have a purpose in the life of so many because they richly do bless -

I love the new Anna Griffin Christmas items.  I've never been a fan of Washi Tape but I have to have Anna's Christmas tape; it's gorgeous.  I make cards for the people I care about.  A homemade card just shows how much you care for the recipient.  As I have come to say " when you care enough to send the very best- send Anna Griffin".

I am a senior citizen and love to remember family and friends at Christmas (my favorite holiday!). However, it is impossible to purchase that many gifts!  Making my own beautiful Anna Griffin cards allows me the opportunity to give all of these people a personal gift at a resonable cost. In addition, I have always said that I am not an artistic person.....but making cards has proven me wrong! I love to make them - it is what I call my therapy time--and my family and friends love to receive them!!!

Card making for me is a complete submergence in creativity. It's my time away from housework, kids, and normal every day-to-day living. It is, for want of a better word, escapism. When I get into the whole process, all troubles, fears, aspirations, frustrations, impatience, all seem to disappear and are taken over by this calm, the  joy of planning, sheer indulgence of elegance and executing of ideas. It's my therapy! Every card is made with someone in mind, and the inner peace and satisfaction that gives me is immeasurable.

I love fancy tape too! Making cards is my getaway--nothing to do with my job or making sure the house looks good or figuring out dinner. I love coming up with different designs that fit the each card recipient.  And I make Christmas cards instead of buying them because it's so satisfying to know that something I love doing makes other people so happy, and that they save the home-made cards, whereas the store-bought ones might last till January or so.  My sister-in-law actually bought a special box where she keeps all the cards I send.  So sweet!

Wishing family and friends a Merry Christmas takes on a special gift to them when you send handmade cards.  That may not be a person you 'buy' a gift for but you are still giving them something of yourself when you make the card that is wishing them a wonderful Christmas season.  Your card kits make us card makers look so talented!  Plus, they are a joy to work with.  Thanks so much for your gifts to us.

Handmade cards are so well received by those who see you took the time to make a card for them and they see the love and caring that went into it.  I recently received a wedding thank you for a gift I had given and the bride raved about the card and then almost as an afterthought thanked me for the gift!  It makes you feel so special to know that someone enjoyed it so much!

Wow,wow, wow!!! The washi tape is so fabulous! And the paper - gorgeous!
I love to make cards because I think it shows I love someone enough to take the time to make it for them! It's such a wonderful creative outlet!
winning all this fabulousness certainly would make it easier!

I like to make Christmas cards and matching envelopes because of the personal touch I can bring to each card.  They are special to the people who receive them too.  Some folks have said they keep my cards.

I enjoy making my holiday cards so I can personalize each and every one of them. It gives me great pleasure to know my recipients will feel like they are getting a small, personal gift when they open my card!   Plus, face it----AG makes it far too easy and fun to create beautiful cards so why not send handcrafted ones??  :-)

I send handmade cards because it lets my friends and family know how much I love them and how special they are to me! When you put that extra time and love into a card or any other gift they know you really care and you see that when they open them! You also get a phone call or letter letting you know they are thinking of you also and gives the opportunity for some connecting time! Can not wait until Sept. 17 th!

    Hello Anna,
I make personalized cards for others because I know what it's like to receive a special handmade gift, such as a card.  You know you are really someone special when you receive something that took time and thought to create.

It's hard to find a beautiful cover and the right sentiment inside on the same card.  I always find that if I could take the cover of one and the inside of the other I would have a card I like.  No more!  Making them takes care of it and gives you the perfect card to send.
  269. Posted by: Laurie Hill
I have not used the Washi tape before but the samples and video you made make me think I might be able to do it too..lol   I would love to win some Washi Christmas Tape and try to make some things as beautiful as you.  You are just amazing and I sing your praises all the time.

Handmade cards embody the meaning and spirit of Christmas in a way that no store bought card ever could. A handmade card is a special present to be treasured and looked at lovingly long after Christmas has passed. Thank you, Anna, for helping us to share our love with everyone at this meaningful time of year!

When I was a little girl 60+ years ago I turned over every card that I received to see if it was a Hallmark card.  That was because
Hallmark's ad was when you care enough to send the very best.
Turning that card over and seeing the Hallmark name or crown made me feel so special.  Making my own cards for family, friends and co-workers lets them know how special they are to me.  I enjoy walking by my co-worker's desk and seeing my handmade Thank You cards from my birthday back in March still on their desk and that makes me feel special as well.  Congratulations, your beautiful artwork and products makes everyone feel special.

I love your cards. And for making Christmas cards or any cards for that matter, I love the creative aspect of it and the end results. It is so satisfying to send something home made and hear from people of how much they like it and ask how did you do that......

First of all, I love making handmade Christmas cards because it adds to my anticipation of the enjoyment of the season. But best of all, it the smiles on the recipients faces, the joyful sound of their voices over the phone or at our next meeting,  feeling that in some small way, I can bring  some holiday cheer to someone else. More cards...more cheer!

I started  making cards when I was scanning the TV channels and there you were showing one of your card kits many yeaers ago. I was intrigued and  never turned back.  It has turned out that family and friends look forward to that special made card and as one, whom you higlighted on Friday, said: They display them! It is not only fun to put the cards together, it also is a great feeling knowing that they and others who I have given cards to, appreciatethe thought put into it for them.

It was a tradition in our family to do a Christmas craft to share with others.  We usually made ornaments.  Now that my parents are gone and the family is spread out, I enjoy keeping up the tradition by making a handmade card for everyone.  Others in my family do the same and these are the cards we treasure most.

I love making homemade cards because making them is an effort of love and each person who receives one gets a one of a kind card made especially for them, right down to the choice of colors, embellishments, and the complete design of the card.

I also find that as soon as I walk in my craft room, the stress of the day just melts away and I can totally disappear from the world for awhile. I come out refreshed and ready to face whatever comes my way...until the next time I need a little down time.

Sending a handmade card tells the  person you are sending it to that you have thought about them in a very special way. You took the time to handcraft it just for them. Store bought cards are just cards; nothing special; all alike in some respects. I love getting the thank you's.

It's all your fault!  I picked up one of your kits, my first time papercrafting, to use when my sister and I visted my Mom as she was recovering from cancer.  We had so much fun, my Dad and brother had to come in to find out what all the whooping and giggling was about.  And the cards are gorgeous.  We divided them up and my Mom says she almost hates to give them away they are so beautiful.  I won't buy ready made cards anymore.  I'm totally addicted, it's so enjoyable and the reaction of the recipients is so rewarding.  You bring us such beautiful things.  Thank you!

So much nicer to send a handmade . It takes me so long to search through cards at the store only to have to settle for one that's just OK. I get the perfect card when I make them myself!

I am soooo not artistic but through the years you have made me feel like I am.  I see the smaller cards some people make and although they are really nice, I wanted to make truly beautiful cards, and just didn't have that kind of talent.  Then you came along, and now I have the kind of talent that enables me to make really beautiful cards.  Obviously, your great talent and my ability to put things together, you're a 10 and I'm a 1 but, who cares, I make beautiful cards.  Love you to pieces Lady!!!!

Your washi tape and borders look fabulous!  I love making Christmas cards because it lets my friends know how much I love them.  And for the people I don't see very often, it is like giving them a Christmas present made by me.  I very rarely receive a homemade chard of any type, only from my sister.  Take care.

Anna, the washi tape and borders look amazing!  When you give homemade cards it is more personal and besides your cards are just more beautiful.
  314. Posted by: Sonia Terech
I make handmade cards because I enjoy creating with the recipient in mind. It allows me to tailor the card to them and make it more personal. I also enjoy the process of creating with my hands & heart. This day & age in our technology driven society, I want to preserve the art of writing & handcrafting. Making cards, scrapbooking & creating with my hands allows me to do that in a way that is unique to me as the artist while also catering to the recipient.
Thank you Anna for bringing to market such incredible products for us to play.

Anna, the reason I send home-made Christmas Cards by Anna Griffin is that they are spectacular!  They are Victorian, they are traditional, they are...well, what can I say...they are just truly a gift of love designed by you and your staff yet sent by us, the crafter on this end!  It also puts you into the Christmas spirit.  Now, I just need to get a head start....as soon as I can get some before being sold old!

     Hi Anna,
I made your handmade cards from the first time last year and was overwhelmed by my friends' and family's reactions ! The main
reason that I made them is that they made everyone feel so very special. They all appreciated my thoughtfulness and the fact that I
took the time and effort to make a card JUST FOR THEM !  I
can't wait to make my Christmas cards again this year!
  320. Posted by: Barbara V
Oh My! Those items are going to make some beautiful Christmas cards! First I get to have the fun of making them and second I can personalize each one for the recipient. I know some are saved just to put out the next year. What a compliment to me and a joy for them.
  321. Posted by: Mary Helen Harris
I love seeing my cards on display in my friend's homes. Some were even framed! What a compliment!!

Hi Anna!  Yeh! Christmas Washi Tape and stamps.  Sept. 17th is going to be so exciting.  I think handmade cards have so much more meaning to them.  To receive one always makes you feel so special, that someone would take the time to make a card for you.

It is always so much fun to see someone open up a card that you have handmade for them.

Thanks for another chance to win!
  323. Posted by: Penny K.
Anna- You make creating beautiful cards sooooooooo much easier than starting from scratch with a blank piece of paper! I love to make cards for family and friends because it allows me to give to them a piece of myself. With your paper crafting supplies, the labor of love becomes so much easier and faster. I am part of a small circle of friends who meet every Tuesday at our church to make cards, and one of the really neat aspects of the group is making cards for the "Special Needs" members of our congregation. They are very appreciative of our efforts, and I have met some people that I previously had not know as a result. What a gift to us! Thank you-

I like to make cards because I can make them personal to the recipient if I want or I can do a mass production and it is relaxing. Standing  there looking for cards in the store is not relaxing at all. Also, in most cases I have what I need to make the cards so it ends up being much less expensive than buying them.
  325. Posted by: Claudia Henderson
Congrats to April and enjoy the products :-)
Why homemade cards versus store bought cards? Even so every one seems to life of cellphones and tables and letters/ cards are called a thing of the past, still a handmade card seems to brighten the day. For birthdays, anniversaries, etc. and especially for Christmas it is special kind off a gift. I love to make cards and getting a smile, a phone call or even a card in return is the best gift for me, knowing I made some feel special. And once you started the handmade card tradition, you better make sure to sent one to everybody on your list. :-) Years ago I sent my grandma and my aunt in Germany each a card. Little did I know that they would show them to each other and compare them :-) Well, I was always lucky with the once I sent, no complains! Even so both are not with us anymore, we still have the memories and story's and some good old cards and letters (hand made and written)...Looking so forward to Sep 17th

Better and more beautiful all the time.  This art should not be lost and I am so happy you are helping us to keep this around for generations to appreciate.

Until about 4 years ago, I always sent E-mail greetings to everyone but suddenly realized how impersonal they were and also that several people could receive the same animated greeting, making them even more impersonal and that was when I decided to make my own and get as much enjoyment out of making them as others do receiving them.
  328. Posted by: Sandie Alford
In all honesty Anna, paper crafting is slowly becoming a lost art.
I love the tradition that paper crafting makes and love handing down that art to our children.
I also find that when I send a hand made card , people tend to keep them and it just shows that much more thought went into it.
  329. Posted by: CAROL LASH
I make homemade cards because every card I send is meant to be a hug to the recipient. We keep moving farther and farther away from our core families and friends and it is so important to send a note and a wish to each and every person that you hold dear!
  330. Posted by: Cynthia Nagel
I like making the handmade cards more than giving store-bought cards because people tend to appreciate them more, and it's also fun to hear someone say "Ooooh, did you MAKE this yourself?"  Blessings!
  331. Posted by: Anita C
I bemoan the fact that letter writing and notes are going by the wayside so quickly.  Since many of us send cards for special occasions I feel like sending a hand-made card is more a gift than a just a greeting card. Recipients often tell me that they take it to work and keep it at their desk or in their cubicle as it makes them smile.  Thanks for all the lovely items that you imagine, produce,  and bring to us that help us create these works of art !
  332. Posted by: Pat
Anna, I love making your cards. When I give them I feel like I have accomplished a connection with all my family and friends. They make me feel that you can accomplish anything that you try. I use to cards for so many occasions as well as Christmas. I made over 100 last year and ran out. Have to make more this year. Everyone who receives the cards thanks me for the time spent making them and the kindness shown for giving such a special gift as this to them. They say they will always keep them. Thank-you for the confidence to do this.
  333. Posted by: Judy Krueger
The only way to go is to make your own cards. They are so personable and appreciated by all that I have not bought a card from the stores in many years. Also they are so much fun when you can have all of these beautiful items to put on your card

I started years ago making cards as a means of expressing my creativity.  Along came Anna, and she upped the beauty and creativity levels.  Family and friends think I am more creative than I really am!!!
  338. Posted by: Martha Welch
I used to work as a graphic artist. So when I send a handmade
card to a friend, they really appreciate the time and creativity that I
personally put into the card I sent them. It means more to them to receive one
of my handmade cards and they actually look forward to them.
  339. Posted by: Bonnie C.
I "love" making the cards and everyone seems to enjoy receiving them.   If you can't afford to give everyone a gift, a handmade card is the next best thing.
  340. Posted by: Pat Marsh
I send handmade Christmas cards versus store bought because handmade cards are keepsake, they are forever, that is why I send them to family and close friends.
  341. Posted by: Starla Wright
When you send homemade instead of store bought, it's not just a card , it's a gift. That's why I love to send my homemade cards at Christmas. Anna makes it beautiful and especially fun to make. Thanks for the sneak peaks!

Hi Anna - Have been collecting your  scrapbooking kits and supplies since you first came on the air and am so excited about your card making line.  The washi tape and borders are a wonder addition and I look forward to your holiday line.  Store bought cards cannot compare to Anna Griffin cards:  each year my family looks forward to getting together on a Sunday afternoon, grandchildren included. We open each group of cards and share all the material.  This year we'll be able to supplement with your new cricut embossing and die cutting system.  Can't wait to see what you have in store for us for the holidays.  I have many friends who save your cards from year to year so it will be a treat for them as well.  Looking forward to your show from the UK.  Good luck!

Why hand made over store purchased?
When I started making cards, I used products from the previous year purchased on sale/clearance.  Still use this method.  I also add items from the current year if I do not have enough product to complete all of the cards for the current year.

I've said this before, but the reason I like to send someone handmade cards is that I feel like I am giving them part of myself--my time, my energy, my effort, and my love. I think about who I am making the card for and try to include something that they will like and will make them feel special. It is my way of reaching out--especially at Christmas. People seem to be the busiest during the Christmas season and sometimes the time that we need to make a personal  connection with family and friends gets swept away. Not only do I think handmade cards are more beautiful, but are also more personal and a way to share a little of yourself.

Every year I made a few cards and buy the rest, and even those I had to "Fix" up. This year I am retired and decided to make them all.  I am looking forward to the kits , the borders, the washi tapes, and the embellishments . This way all my cards will be unique. Thank you once again for all you do for us.

I like to give out home made Christmas cards because I just love to make them...simple as that!  :)  It's so much fun and they honestly look better than store bought ones!
  352. Posted by: Debbie Eslinger
This washi tape and borders look fantastic and the detail that they would add to cards! I love making cards and giving them to people because it tells them that they are special and the feeling that they get with a handmade card can not be gotten from even a Hallmark card brought from a store.
  353. Posted by: Jane Makuch
You don't need to actually ask do you?  There is so much more meaning in a card that is made then store bought. And sending "little works of art" makes me feel so good. I love the idea of "old-fashion" at the holidays, and quality was so important long ago.  Thank goodness for Anna Griffin!  And thank you for these fun give-always:)
  354. Posted by: Louise H.
Anna, these washi tapes are the most beautiful I have ever seen.  Your designs are the greatest, and anyone who wins this will be receiving a real prize.

I don't have the money to buy everyone a Christmas gift, so making cards is my way of maintaining a personal touch.  I'm actually giving the person a part of me.
  357. Posted by: Roberta
I (like everyone else) make homemade cards because they are more personal and the people receiving them appreciate them.  I love your products because they make my cards looks so much better.
  358. Posted by: Karen
You can spend hours in a store trying to find the right card and still not be really happy with what you found. Since I am retired, I find making cards so much more rewarding.  It lets family and friends know just how much they are cared about.
  359. Posted by: Mavis Swart
I used to always send store bought cards.  When I first saw you demonstrate how easy it is to assemble your card collection I decided to try them.  Much to my surprise, it was very easy & fun to do.  I have gotten so many compliments from my recipients!  Thank you so much for making sending out cards so fun!

The Christmas washi  tape and borders are extra special! I make my own cards because I do want to make them special. Of course, using your kits give me a talent I don't have. Thanks!

I enjoy making Anna Griffin cards because they make me feel like a very talented card designer.

Well, I think my comment got lost. I like to make my own Christmas cards because I can make them as sparkly as I want.
  363. Posted by: Pam Allen
Hi Anna!! I love the borders, I have bought them before and they are beautiful and so easy to use.  I love the washi tape too! I haven't been able to buy any yet so am looking forward to working with it.  I feel sending a handmade card shows how much you care and that you took the time to make them something special.  I am no longer able to work and being stuck at home with health issues can be depressing therefore I love being able to take my mind off my pain and to be able to create something beautiful.  Your kits make that possible.  Thank you so much for the chance to win some of you goodies!!!! I prefer to send handmade cards over store bought because I can create the exact sentiment I want inside.  I believe the recipients feel extra special that I took the time to create something personal for them instead of just grabbing whatever may be in the aisle across from the junk food.  Making them feel extra special is the whole point!
  365. Posted by: Julia
I send handmade cards because I truly care about the people to whom I send them. Most of them are too far away for me to visit in person, and I think this shows them they are definitely not "out of sight out of mind".

    Hi Anna:
I love making cards because I put a lot of love and time to let my recipients know they are special to me.
  367. Posted by: Joyce Caraway
LOVE both the washi tape set and the borders.  I love to give handmade cards because you can make them all different...  they aren't cookie cutter out of a box.  You can make them person or family-specific.  The old adage still rings true.... "To give is better than to receive."  In a lot of cases, a Christmas card is the senders gift to the person receiving it, so to be able to make one this beautiful really means the world.  Handmade often-times makes the person on the receiving end feel as if they have just received a gift, rather than just a card.  Can't wait to see what everything else looks like!!!  :)

Over the years I have "collected" lots of friends in lots of places as we moved around a lot.  Christmas is the one time I keep in touch with everyone but I do send a lot of cards--between 80 and 100--so I had gotten lazy over the years and used computer labels, a computer generated letter to enclose, and computer address labels.  About four years ago I decided that I could personalize these cards a great deal by making my own in the summer months when I have time to do it.  (At holiday time I find things just too hectic to do a nice job on that many greetings.)  The first year I made them all "from scratch" and got a few comments but not much.  Then the next year I ordered and made your cards and the response was overwhelming! I have been a fan of your work from the first moment I saw it.  There is nothing else on the market that even begins to compare.

Making cards using Anna's kits are not only fun, but also very calming.  They are so easy to use and the people who receive them really enjoy them.  Thanks Anna
  370. Posted by: Grandma Hobo
I make cards rather than buy them for a variety of reasons.  They say to the recepient that you cared enough to spend the time to make something for them.  They are able to be made any time so you don't have to run to the store.  They are a fun hobby.  They can be personalized for whatever reason you want to send a card.  They are certainly cheaper than a store bought card.  They let people know that you were thinking of them the entire time you spent making them.  Making them is an artistic outlet.  And finally, I enjoy the satisfaction of the process.  Kathy

At the end of a long day nothing relaxes me more than making beautiful heartfelt cards! Funny story the first year I made them I just put one stamp on them and everyone had to pay postage for them, and they still ask if they are getting one each year! Your card kits help me make everyone feel appreciated! Thank you!

Your projects are just astonishing! So gorgeous. I like sending homemade cards mostly because it's fun to make them. And I get some nice feedback, which certainly keeps me creating!

Anna designs are so professionally done that no one knows they are handmade...by ME!  I love sending cards made with your designs because it brings back memories of Christmas' passed, with vintage inspired embellishments and elegant motifs that are reminiscent of simpler times.   Lovely rich colors and patterns that blend well with each other, what more could I ask for?

Giving and receiving homemade cards seems so much more personal than store bought cards.  It takes a lot of thought to make the right card for someone and using your borders would make my cards beautiful and I am sure the person receiving them would be smiling ear to ear!  Winning would help make  my Christmas Cards something that even Santa would love to open!

There is nothing that beats a handmade card!
They are made with love ... every sticker, stamp, border and ribbon placed with that special someone in mind.

Anna - the reason I make homemade Christmas cards is because I get to spend time thinking about the person I'm making the card for while I'm making it.  So often they're just the next address on the list with store bought cards, but when I make them, I consider what that person would like and personalize it.  And I never get tired of hearing what beautiful cards I make.  It's all thanks to you, Anna.  Thanks again for all you do for us crafters.  Now when is that idea book coming out showcasing the scrapbook pages you show on the HSN shows?  Hire me and I'll put it together for you.  Donna O

I send handmade cards because I can personalize them to the person or family -- Santa and reindeer for friends with small children, silver and gold for those who decorate more elegantly, vintage-style for those who decorate in antiques, and so on.  Plus (and this is probably the REAL reason) -- I love to make the cards!!! SO much fun; it's like "paperdolls and coloring" for grown-ups!  Thanks for the chance to win!

Anyone can go to the store and buy a card to send but it is just a little more special to take the time to actually hand craft a card that the recipient will never want to throw away! Thank you Anna for your help in making us artists. Susie

I make my own cards simply because it is so much fun to create them yourself. I started buying Anna's products last Christmas, I would get kind of frustrated using other products but with Anna Griffin, there is never any kind of frustration only fun, beauty, easy to create and most of all a lot of wow's, like I created that! I love everything Anna Griffin and I will continue to only buy Anna Griffin products:) Thank you Anna for all your beautiful ideas and products!

I make handmade cards because I want my friends and loved ones to know how truly special they are to me.  It's just a way of saying "I appreciate you!"
  398. Posted by: Sharin Neff
Custom made cards say, “I love you.”  With every snip of the
scissors, every dab of glue and every well-placed embellishment, you are saying, “I was thinking of you.”  With every color and pattern you select, you reflect the recipient, saying “I think you are special and unique.”  That is deeply fulfilling.  The texture of paper, the sparkle of glitter and reflection of foil, even the sound of the tape runner  . . . ahhhh . . . music to the soul.

Love what you are doing this year!  I make and send cards in memory of my dear Mother.  Christmas was her favorite time of the year, always a joyous celebration in our home growing up.  Mom passed away Christmas week, 16 years ago.  As a way to honor her, as well as grieve, the next year I made special cards.  It is now a tradition for me, bring me closer to her during the holiday season.  Each year I select a special theme, usually related to a childhood memory.  It has become easier in the last few years, as there are so many beautiful items now available, your designs usually my top pick!

First...I love Washi Tape and Border Stickers. I make cards because I love to express my artistic side. Also, a handmade card is a gift in itself. Anyone can go to the store and buy a card, but making a card with your own hands is an expression of love.

I like to receive homemade cards of all kinds and seasons and it's so much fun for me to make for others.  I'd like to think that everyone who receives one of my Christmas cards feels really special at a very busy time of year.

I have been making home made cards for a very long time. I tried the store bought ones but it doesn't feel the same. When I started making them 2 years ago from you, I got so many compliments. Everyone loves them. I guess I like the attention that I get when I give such lovely things to people. The only thing I did miss this past year, was the booklet that you used to put in it with suggestions for the front. I like to copy and then make it my own with some changes. I need that extra boost you givw ith your pictures.

    Hi Anna,
Remember when we used to cut out our embellishments by hand...many times over.  What a relief to have you create the fabulous embellishments for us.
I love to create handmade cards for all occasions because the joy it brings to me and those who receive them.
A friend of mine took about 14 cards of all occasions with her when she went back east to see her family.  She wanted them to "share in the beauty of these elegant demential cards".
Thanks for making me look so good!
     Christmas cards are my favorite.

I make handmade cards versus buying store-bought cards because handmaid is so much better. There are more beautiful, it shows that you care, it's just part of who i am.  It is making art. This is something that people don't throw away, they keep. And if they do throw it away well I don't see them throwing it away so it doesn't count!

    Hello Anna,
2012 was the first time my daughter Arrianna and I made handmade Christmas cards.  My daughter made hers for friends at work and let me tell you what a response she received.  Her friends did not believe she had made the cards until one of them said "look on the back."  One of the cards was not signed on the made by area and the office friend said you didn't sign my card. My experience as to why give handmade cards is the look on the recipients face.  Of course you always get the sound effect oooooohh  or aaaawah with the voice going up several octaves!  Your cards always go over in a huge way.  The cards are always so beautiful and easy to put together even I can do it.  I hope you  include the inserts again.  We plan to send more this year.

As an added touch I incorporate our yearly family picture into each card I make. I send them out early in Dec. so our out of state family members can enjoy them throughout the holiday season.

I love to make and send homemade cards all year but especially at Christmas.  I would love to be able to buy or make gifts for all my friends to show the love I have for them and their friendship, but I simply can't afford to do it. However I can send them a gift of a handmade card which shows them just how important they are to me and how much I truly care. They love them and keep them and put them out as part of their Christmas decorations each year.

I have been making cards for years. My Mother saves every single one of them. My Mother in law calls me to thank me for the cards I send her. I use to just stick a couple of stickers on a blank card and thought that was beautiful. Now with all my great Anna Griffin supplies I can really make a work or art. Nothing is nicer than the gift of sharing. Tuesdays and Fridays are my favorite days this month. I can't wait until September. Thank you, Anna.

I just really enjoy making homemade cards and try to make it personal for each recipient. I am teaching my little granddaughter to do the same hoping she will enjoy papercrafting/cardmaking as much as I do!

I make cards because they become a part of me and of the special person they are made for.  It is relaxing and a joy to do!

Because it's from the heart.  Another good reason is because I enjoy making them.  I love the borders not just for cards but I make alot of tags and the extra embellishments are great.

Hi Anna! I have been a AG fan for years and could not think of sending out a store bought card, especially around the holidays.  I always encourage everyone to turn my card into a gift tag too by cutting off the written card part. Viola! My fingers are crossed and hoping to win.
  454. Posted by: Maria from San Francisco
I like to make my own cards because I can specialize each to the person I am sending them to. Friends love the cards they receive, and they know that they were made especially for them. It's like sending a hug.

Looking forward to September! I always TiVo the programs so I can study your examples.   I have a book where I note different ideas from each showing (as well as your website and blog.)  Having someone receive a card that has been prepared just for them, is an investment in your relationship & friendship. It's a celebration of it!   Reaching out with a handmade card, regardless of the occasion, shows how much you care to brighten their day -  whether you know them for a lifetime or just met them.
Anna's  creations truly help you make every card sparkle!
    Thank you Anna!

I love to get homemade cards myself- I think it shows the person cared. I love to make them because it shows that 'I' care. Plus, they are just fun to do!

I make handmade cards because its so great to see the persons reaction when they open the card up! They make everyone smile! 8) it's totally worth the time put in!

I love Christmas. I love making cards. It's a perfect fit. The reaction I get from my recipients is certainly worth the effort. Besides, I'm always attracted to store-bought cards with glitter and you know how that glitter gets EVERYWHERE and my recipients get doused too! Perhaps if I bought a better quality card?!
  459. Posted by: Ellie
I began making homemade Christmas cards when I got tired of sending cards without any dimension.  Yes, some premade boxed cards are pretty, but I like to see something a little extra.  Along came Anna's cards! I'm told by some friends that mine are the only cards that they never throw away!  With those kind of comments, I'll never go back to store-bought, boxed cards1

I think the reason I like to make (and send) homemade items is to give them some of my personality and spin.  I can be free to do  whatever I want.  Sometimes after I make it, I don't care for it, but sometimes it's a WOW! (did I actually just make that?)..Also I can use all my different techniques I've learned on one item, which is also fun. Looking forward to Sept. l7 for all the new goodies and hope I'm in the running to win a giveaway.  Thanks Anna!

I make cards all year round using Anna Griffin products and especially during the holidays!  I enjoy 'customizing' the cards I make for each and every family member or friend so they can truly appreciate the love and friendship I am conveying.  Anna Griffin products help make this possible!  I have NEVER, since I started cardmaking, sent a store bought card!  There again, Anna's products makes this quick and easy for a fast card too!
  462. Posted by: Janet
Homemade cards are a wonderful blessing for both the creator/sender (me) & the recipient . It brings joy to all & what a better way to say that you love those close to you.  A perfect little treasure during the holidays.
  463. Posted by: glenda h
Nothing is as special as receiving a homemade card regardless of the occasion.  With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, a homemade card says "you are special and worth the extra time".  Besides, I enjoy making them too!.
  464. Posted by: Patricia Coddington
I make handmade cards because they are a one of a kind pieces. My friends and family look forward to receiving my cards especially at Christmas time. Paper artistry is so much fun, gives me so much joy and allows me to share with my closest friends! I couldn't stand winning something and NOT sharing with my BFFs!

I love to send handmade cards because I can make each card different an unique for each person I send them to! I want to show the people I care about that they mean more to me than just going out and purchasing a mass produced stock card! I hope that the person who receives it to get as much pleasure from the card as I do making them!! This year thanks to you Anna my cards will be even more special!!!

    Hi Anna!
This will be my first Christmas to send handmade cards, and I am looking forward to it. I think something handmade is always special.

I make handmade cards because the ready made cards are BORING! I like to add a little personality and a personal touch simply because some of the people we only reach out to at Christmas!  Let's make it special - that's my philosophy on that!  Keep up the great work Anna - you've got me all excited and it's only AUGUST!!!! THANKS!!!

Hi Anna! Christmas is my favorite time of the year and I so look forward to creating unique cards that share my "holiday spirit".  Taking time to select the exact sentiments and embellishments for that special someone is so much more personal and fun than purchasing ones that don't reflect what I really want to express..Thanks for all your HIGH END QUALITY PRODUCTS !!!!!!!!

Oh the things I can think of are racing through my head! One of my absolute favorite things is making homemade Christmas gifts and I've loved your products forever but these Christmas items are to die for!
  471. Posted by: Terance H
In my past i have always looked for the unusal cards to purchase for that Christmas, i also worked in the craft business for years and we didn't carry scrapbook items so i never knew i could make my own.  So when i was introduced to the scrap/card items becoming more popular in retail i have gotten rid of all my store made cards and only use handmade for every occasion.  I dont know of anything i send a store purchared card for anymore, i even make my own gift card holders.  Even if people throw them away i get the joy out of making them and putting myself into themand letting my friends know they are worth my time.

Handmade cards are “mini” works of custom art that provide
the artist with great satisfaction in making them and the recipient great joy in receiving them.  Everyone wants to feel special and handmade cards are a wonderful way to make that happen.  Thank you for designing such amazing products that allow us to be all we can be.

Once again, you've outdone yourself!  I can hardly wait for the show! I choose to make the homemade cards for close family and friends because it let's them know how special they are to me.  I put my heart and love into each card I make, and I have so much fun making them.Your new products will make my cards fabulous this year!

Do you remember a song that started , "Oh you Beautiful Doll" That's how I think of you and the beautiful thing you let me make.  Everyone wants me to make and sell but I have all my heart and soul in the card I make for my Loved ones.  The ladies in the beauty salon
plead with me to sell some. No can do. They are SPECIAL like you and you staff. Thank You again.

I make handmade cards because I really enjoy making them, and because I know that the people who receive them know that I spent a lot of time and put a lot of love into the cards.
  477. Posted by: Joy
I hand make cards because as I work on them, it is a delight to think about that person and what they would like or enjoy.  When they receive it, they know that extra attention has been paid in making them a custom card.
  478. Posted by: mary j g
Simple...I enjoy making them and I am sure that the recipients of my crafts know that I was thinking of them all the time I was creating a card/project I was thinking of them!
  479. Posted by: Joyce
I have been sending homemade cards for a few years now.  I really enjoy making them.  They are so much more special than a card that you buy in the store.  You can make them as unique as you want, or if sending out a lot such as for Christmas, you can make the same design and just vary it slightly. A couple of Christmas' ago, I used a lamppost as the focal point.  I then varied the paper  and ribbon for the cards so they would be slightly different.

Hi Anna, I love making handmade cards because it shows the people I send them to that I care about them, God gave me a lot of talents and I use them daily, when I create a card picking the right elements and words are very important to me as well as the person I send them to. With Anna Griffins help I have stunned everyone with these creations. Everyone has told me they always frame my cards or keep them in a photo album and can't wait to receive the next card, whether Christmas, birthdays or all occasions I never make 2 alike. Thanks Anna for all your products they are amazing.
  481. Posted by: Marilyn Slater
I love making cards because I can make them the way I want them to look and say exactly what I want them to say.  I like to fiddle with embellishments to make them really stand out and look romantic or older sometimes.  The old cards were the best - too bad they don't make them anymore, but then I wouldn't have an excuse to make cards.
  482. Posted by: Kathy Brubaker
I just can't wait to open that beautiful Christmas Card Kit Box. I Love the Christmas Washi Tape, it can be used for so much more then just Cards and Scrapbook Layouts.  I have always bought your Borders, so I have no doubt I will love the Christmas Borders.  When you buy a store bought card, you cared enough to go to the store, purchase it, sign it.  When you hand make a Card, you use your creativity and design it for that particular person. You will spend 20 mins and sometimes it will take you a day to create this Card but that is O.K. because it is for someone special in your life and they deserve it.   Of course, the most important part of creating a hand made card, is that it is FUN!

I am a very sentimental person myself! I love to  get homemade things that I know that someone has took their time to do this for me! For those special people it's from my heart and I think they mean more to them!!

I just love these sneak peeks... it's so fun to see the next new products!  I make handmade cards because it's like therapy for me to create something beautiful to give to someone I care about.  It calms my soul and lets me create with my hands where normally all day long at work I am thinking and stressing my brain.  Crafting has always been a great outlet for me and with cards when I am done, I have a creation ready to give right away to someone else.  I really love all of your products Anna... I have been collecting since your first days on the other Q channel.  Love all the new themes and patterns and kits that you have been designing in the last few year.  Can't wait to see the next video on Friday!

I like sending homemade cards because the recipient is always appreciates the time and effort and work you put in to making the card. Especially Christmas cards. Homemade cards are like sending a personal piece of you, when you can't be there yourself. Thanks for bringing us such wonderful things!
  486. Posted by: Maria Rosa
I send handmade cards because I like the personal touch it gives each recipient whether the card is for Christmas, Birthdays, anniversary, etc.  A store bought card is so generic and lacks the uniqueness a handmade card conveys.
  487. Posted by: Rosie M
I like to do something special for all of my family and friends for the holidays.  The best way is to send handmade cards to everyone.  Most people appreciate tht you took the time and effort necessary to make the cards.  It is too easy to go to the store and pick up a box without much thought.  Making cards shows everyone I care and am thinking about them.......
  488. Posted by: Liz L.
Just discovered your blog - love it and all your paper crafting & quilting!  Currently hand-making 130 Christmas cards and 400 gift tags ....thanks for all of your inspiration!

My grandmother used to send me handwritten letters when I was a little girl. Every week I would get that special letter she had taken the time to write just for me. Sometimes I would get pictures or some little trinket in the envelope. It always made me feel so loved and special. I would send her a letter back each week with a drawing or something I had made in it. She kept them in a box in her closet so I always knew how special they were to her.
Making holiday cards gives me back some of the joy I used to feel then and I love knowing the people who get them know how special they are to our family.

I send handmade cards because I enjoy sending the cards that I make to family and friends.
  491. Posted by: Vivian Kochis
I bought several card making kits over the past few years.  but my passion for making them started last Christmas.  I made  about 60 Christmas cards, each one was specially made for the family who would receive it.  Making them myself adds such special touch and my friends and family enjoyed receiving them as much as I did creating them.  Your card, paper and embellishment kits add to the pleasure of crafting and creating beautiful, heartfelt treasures!
  492. Posted by: Judy Ottenstroer
Even when I purchase kits, I don't necessarily follow the step-by-step instructions. The great thing about Anna Griffin kits is that everything can be mixed and matched so easily.
  493. Posted by: Judy Bock
I send handmade cards because it is like receiving a personal gift from me. I always make them special with the people in mind that I'm sending them too. And each gets a hand written note from me also. They really appreciate them and don't just throw them away. It's a gift from me forever.
  494. Posted by: Lin M.
Ooh - the washi tape designs are fabulous - and also the borders!
I send hand-made Christmas cards because I can personalize them for the recipient or make several of a certain kind if I want. Although I sent them for years - now I think the store bought cards are impersonal so I prefer to make them - especially when I have your papers, embossing folders, cards, stickers, etc. to make them with. :)
  495. Posted by: Frances
I make hand made cards for several reasons. I thoroughly enjoy making them  (I think of it as therapy.)  I enjoy the creativity and I always get positive feedback. When they are Anna Griffin, they are extra special and extra beautiful.
  496. Posted by: Dreama
I only make special homemade cards for people I know who will appreciate them. (everyone doesn't). My list has decreased over the years (deaths, etc.) but I still have friends who really appreciate 'homemade'. Your designs are always topnotch! Thanks for sharing your talents.
  497. Posted by: Tracy Bollinger
I send handmade cards because I spend $1,000's of dollars on supplies to make them.  My husband would kill me if I didn't.

Christmas is the season of giving: a home-made card says "I love giving my time to you!"  It's an inexpensive way to really show others you care-it's about the love we give at Christmas.  Anna's card kits allow me to give in a beautiful way!

Hi Anna (and Tracey), Once again you have come out with some  B E A U T I F U L!! PIECES!!.  Thank you for these.  I like to make hand made cards because I feel it shows that person how much I care for them.

I receive so much enjoyment out of creating handmade cards - especially for the Holidays.  I "tailor" each card to the recipient, and
my friends and family are very appreciative of the time and effort
put into each card - not to mention blown away by the designs.
I'm Jewish, but I love to make Christmas cards because there are
so may beautiful elements and colors.  Anna if you are listening,
it would be so great if you could include one or two Hanukah
designs in the future.   Thanks.  Robin

I prefer to make my own cards because it makes it that much more personal and it let's the person receiving it know that they are special enough for me to make a work of art for them (and they don't know you made it so easy for me to do so).

I love your Christmas card boxes, I have a few left from one year to the next that I have used up and now can't wait to see the new box full. I love making all my cards for family and friends all thru the year. My Grand kids get really special one for their B-days. My first Grand daughter was born on Christmas so you can just think of the card she gets every year and this year she will be Sweet 16! The 2 older grand daughters help me make Christmas cards and we have so much fun making them too. I can't wait too see your see your Christmas Washi tape, I have not used it before but sure will make a hit on my cards this year! I'm counting the days to Sept show!! Thanks for have all theses goodie for all of us to win too! :)

Every one in my family loves getting my handmade cards.  They think I have spent hours making these cards for them (our little secret).  You have the most beautiful cards and embellishments for every occasion and I have bought many.  I would love to win to start my Christmas cards early..
  504. Posted by: Toni
You can put love, comfort, joy and caring into something made with your hands -- and that all comes rushing out of the envelope with the card.  It is a different kind of challenge to create something than the everyday challenges and I enjoy that time.  I try to think of who will be receiving the card and find some way to show it was made espeically for them.  Using your lovely kits makes it so much easier.  You aren't sending everyone the same thing with just a signature scribbled inside - you are sending a part of yourself.
  505. Posted by: Cyndi
Love your products and style!! I make cards because of the enjoyment of the process... I love the joy of giving them because they are made with love.

Making and sending cards has become a ministry for me --letting people know how much I care and how much God cares. He provides the time required and these beautiful resources developed by AG, which everyone loves.
  509. Posted by: ElizabethD
While talking to some of my friends and telling them that perhaps we should re-think sending Christmas cards and perhaps making them instead. One of my friends came up with an excellent idea. We will purchase AG Christmas Card Kit and have a girls night and put them together. If they come out as good as we hope (never having done them), we will give them to a friend who will hand them out at the Senior Center and that way some of the seniors will have a card to send to someone. Who knows this may start another tradition for us.

I love to share ump creations with others (especially since ther is only so much STUFF I can use and/or store myself. But more importantly, I am committed to keeping the art of the written alive.  I am getting to an age when some of my friends and family members are living alone.  So I think of how excited they are to receive mail-a sort of virtual hug. And they can keep the card close at hand and look at it when they need a pick-me-up. Would love to win the stickers!

I make handmade Christmas cards because I feel like it's my gift to the recipient ~ a gift of my time and my love for them.  People always seems to appreciate them, as most tell me they save all the cards I send.  Last year's card was a shaped card, and I even had one recipient tell me she punched a hole in the top and hung it with some ribbon on her Christmas tree!
Thanks so much for the chance to win!

Hi Anna! I am so thrilled that you have a new kit for Holiday cards and trimmings to go with it.  I purchased the Holiday kit last year and made all my cards. I love hearing friends and family say how much they enjoy receiving them.  I have many of your cardmaking kits. I have become addicted to making homemade cards ever since I have been using your materials. You can't make a mistake! They always turn out so beautifully. Now some of  my friends & family actually have special places that they display all the cards I send them!  (My sister-in law  has a decorative box I made for a gift I gave her. She keeps the lid open and and uses it to display the cards.)It is so heartwarming to think they love them and cherish them so much. They actually comment that they can't wait to see the next card I send them. :)

Handmade can be so much more personal than a store bought card. You can never find the name you want on the card. People love to see their name on a card.  This is why I like handmade. The washi tape is just beatiful also love the cricut cartridge.  Love all you do.

I have been making cards for at least 15 years now, and besides scrapbooking, it is one of my main hobbies.  (I also sew lap robes for a local hospice.)  I absolutely love your products because of the quality and the quantity that I get in each selection.  I have bought your cardmaking kits for quite a few years and have received many nice comments about them.  Keep making your wonderful products!!

I am a bead artist but after falling(roller skating with my kids the day before my 53rd birthday) and then 3 shoulder surgeries, I couldn't pull a length of thread the way I needed to for beading or quilting. I got started on papercrafts and of course had to learn how to do everything. I love making cards year round for friends and family. Each card is made with it's recipient in mind so it's hard to get ahead but each person knows their card is special just for them. But the holidays are a little different since I make about 70! I still want them to have lots of texture and layers and a somewhat old-timey feel to them. And even though they are often late, everyone knows I put lots of hugs, love, and heart into each one.

I love to hand craft cards because I think that it shows the receiver just how much you care about them, to take the time, effort and thought to craft a card just for them, it is so rewarding for the giver as well as the receiver

Hi Anna,  I am so excited about your Christmas goodies this year!  I can not wait to order one of everything, okay but why do I make Homemade cards instead of store bought?  My husband just the other day said, "Honey why don't you go make Kurt a Birthday Card, you do such a nice card and everytime I go to the store to find a card they all look the same."  I also like to make cards and one of my favorite parts is signing my name on the back.  People notice and I love it.  Have a wonderful time.

Wow! These designs are gorgeous. The Christmas Washi Tape was exciting to see but the card was really eye- popping. Your card kit from last week makes me want to be a kid and lift up the lid just for a minute to get my fill of eye candy. My kids know how I am about gifts. Don't show me, tell me, or give clues. You will be on the side of the enemy. I feel the need to squirm around in my chair thinking of that box. I bought 2 of your Floral Impressions card kits awhile back. Recently you offered it again and guess who bought 2 more. Anna Griffin products are such high priority. Got to have the stamps, the ink pads... I have a list going already. Thanks to the team of Griffin Elves!

I started sending handmade Christmas cards because they are so much more personal.  In addition, there aren't too many places that sell boxed cards near the house so it becomes more convenient.

    Hi Anna -

LOVE the tape and borders, too!

I hand make cards because people appreciate it and treasure them. It is very creative to do and satisfying to give!

I have not purchased a card from the store in 15 years.  A great many of those have been made using Anna's beautiful products.  Everyone has come expect hand made cards and it brings me joy to see how happily they are received.
Very excited about the new products,

    Hi Anna,
I love to make handmade cards because I can be creative and everyone keeps them! I'm really looking forward to your upcoming show! :)

I got started making homemade cards at a Girl Scout meeting for the men and women of the military for Xmas.  I am a leader and I had so much fun being creative with the girls that I now make all of my cards for family and friends and they love them.  Doing the spring we use your flower die cuts and paper for our cards and we give them to the nursing home by our meeting place.  This year since I have your cuttlebug machine and folders we are going to do Christmas cards for both the nursing home and the military.  We have been collecting different papers to use all year and can't wait to get started.  On September 17th I am sure I will be inspired and can not wait to order.

I am a huge fan!  I said I would not get into scrapbooking because I already had too many hobbies but when I started watching Anna I was hooked and buy every products.  I never lied to my husband about what I bought before I started buying your products because I can't get enough and OMG family can't believe I make every Christmas card different.  Love, Love, Love Anna!

I like sending handmade cards because they tell family/friends they are important.  Before stores sold cards, they were made by hand and I try to keep a tradition going.  Some cards turn out more beautiful than store bought and I just love making them.

    Hi Anna!

The main reason I started making handmade cards was I couldn't find many store bought cards with "Merry Christmas" sentiments on them.
Then I found your Christmas card kits and have been making cards ever since!  I make over 75 cards each year for our church shut ins and for our military ( minus any glitter for them for safety reasons) besides family and friends!
I can't wait to see you on HSN with your new goodies!

I think when you make a card it shows that you really care about the person you are sending it to. You didn't just run to the store and pick up a card. You really care!
  550. Posted by: sharon sienaski
A store bought card says "OK I fulfilled my obligation, cross it off my list.  A hand made card says " I love you, you are important and you are worth my putting my heart and time into this HAND MADE card for you.

I send  homemade cards because I feel it is so much more personal than sending a store bought card and I have so much fun making them.  I do know that many of the people I send them to save and display them. I just love your 3-D borders and have used them in my scrapbooking.  I'm looking forward to using them in my card making.  Congrats to April for winning the stamps and ink set.

I am blessed when I make a home made card since I use the time in making the card to also pray over that person. To be able to put that card together with love and prayers makes it all worth while when the person who receives it feels special! I love using this craft as a "love" ministry to bless and encourage others! Thank you for your beautiful products!!

I make cards because nobody else is going to have one exactly like the one I am sending.  So many times I have seen people receive two of the same birthday card and weddings they seem to get three or four of the exact card.  I want mine to be different but not cost 4 or 5 dollars apiece.     I like pretty and layered thats why I buy your kits.   I have people calling me and thanking me for  the beautiful card after I have sent one.
Making cards is fun and entertaining for me plus I can't do a lot of shopping for gifts anymore but I can send a memorable card so they know I still care.
  557. Posted by: Sue H.
Beautiful as always!  I send handmade cards because since I discovered your products and how gorgeous cards can be, I like to create something from my inspirations using beautiful supplies. What a blessing it is to give someone something from the heart.  I'm so glad I found out about Anna Griffin!

I can't always give everyone a Christmas present! By giving them a handmade card I am giving them a little bit of me. Each card I make is special and I think of who I'll send it to while I'm creating. I only give handmade cards and your autoship really got me started! I would love to add the washi tape to my cards. Hey! I wouldn't turn down the borders! Cards or scrapbook pages these items rock. Thank you!

I prefer making my cards because I am able to tailor each one to what I think will most appeal  to the recipient.  It must be working because a dear 90 yr. old friend recently told me she finally threw away all of the precious cards she had received through the years - except mine, that is, "because Lynn makes hers just for me and they are too beautiful and special to throw away".  Now how wonderful is that?

I make homemade cards because once you start sending out homemade cards you can never go back.  Most people seem to really appreciate them and many keep them for years.

The store bought cards cannot compare to a homemade card. There is much more care and love that goes into a homemade card. I sent my aunt a homemade card (actually it was from your Christmas card set from last year. I got it from HSN). When I received a card from my aunt she commented on how beautiful, the card was that I had sent to her. Thank you Anna for all of the hard work you do for us.

When I send my handmade cards, they are all personalized for the individual and/or family.  I was tired of sending store bought cards and sometimes I even see the same card already received by my friends/family.  I wanted to send a personal message, not a "canned" message that shows how I/we care about family & friends during the holiday season(also other occassions/holidays). I have feedback about how wonderful the cards were and it showed how we cared.  The cards were valued by our family/friends.

Making and giving cards is a form of showing you care about the people you give them to. It is also a means of customizing. My family & friends really enjoy receiving handmade cards. Your products sure make me look far more artistic then I am!

Anyone can go to the store and buy a card.  Anyone can put together a Christmas card.  Especially with your kits, Anna.  But making a card shows that you are going that extra step just to show you care.  Its not another chore, it is sent with meaning!  Thanks for yet another great product.  And a chance to win it!

There is no comparison between purchased cards and my hand-made cards.  Enjoy tremendously making, giving and receiving handmade items.  Keeps the connection of caring between people.  Nothing else like it, and the Anna Griffon products made it simpler and faster to complete the process.  Love it--love it--love it!!!!!!!!

I found out how much fun it was annd then became hooke on your products. Now family and friends look forward to the cards. They are more special because they are made with love and come from the heart.

I love making and sending homemade cards because the recipients love them.  So many have told me that they save them every year. It's almost like I'm giving everyone on my list a gift instead of just a card.  Love the Washi Tape and the borders are gorgeous...thanks for the chance to win.

My family and friends have come to expect handmade greetings.  It is fine with me because I truly enjoying crafting.  The mass produced cards lack that personal touch which is a part of the holidays.  Thank you for another opportunity to win.  I have never used washi tape and look forward to trying it in September.  Unless, of course, I get lucky!

I have probably been sending hand-made Christmas cards for at least the last 15 years.  Most of my family, friends and neighbors do the same.  It is incredibly fun to display them throughout the season and I usually keep many of them.  It's just a nice way to share the season with those you care about.  Every year I try to find a new way to make them a part of our holiday decorations.

I make handmade cards because for one, store bought ones are so generic.  Secondly, I plain just love making cards.  I enjoy receiving anything handmade.  Plus, making cards shows you took extra time and tender loving care in doing so.  I know I can't give an actual gift to everybody on my Christmas list, so a handmade card is the next best thing.
  591. Posted by: Kathy K
I send handmade cards because they show people how much I care about them. We can't buy presents for everyone, but we can give them a present of our time and creativity via a wonderful, handmade card. I'm loving everything you are showing!

I've made dozens of cards from Anna Griffin kits. I was a bit anxious the first time I gought one, though, because I am not at all gifted in making crafts. I soon discovered that you simply can't make a bad card from an Anna Griffin kit! I love making and giving cards to family and friends for all occasions, especially Christmas. I feel that the effort and thought involved really touch the receivers and have heard as much from them. Thanks for making me a homemade card crafter!

There is nothing more heartwarming than receiving a heartfelt, homemade card.  I've been making and sending cards since I was a little girl (I'm 67 years young now).  My 'little girl' card were, of course, not as lovely as my Anna Griffins but I loved making them and writing my own personal sentiments.  More than that, I loved the reactions of the recipients.  I'm very sad to see the art of letter writing and card sending fall by the wayside.  I send one of Anna's homemade cards every single week to my 103 year old neighbor who currently resides in a nursing home.  She loves to receive card and I love knowing that I have brightened her day.  Thank you for sharing your gift with us, Anna.             Marilyn

I make homemade cards, because most of the time I can't find a store bought one that says what I want to say. I have many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, church friends sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in -law and daughter and son-in-la, a husband, son and daughter-in-law parents-in-law and none of them fit the generic mold in the store bought cards. They are each and everyone unique and deserve a one of the kind card, because they are definitely one of a kind. Love your beautiful products that allow me to make each card special. Thank Anna and thank your very talented team, too.

I love making handmade cards, and people on the receiving end love getting them. Here's why: each card is made with love and thinking about the person getting it as I make them helps me feel closer to them, even though they are mostly far away. I'm looking forward to getting that beautiful tape, never used it before, and that green box has me absolutely intrigued. Come on Sept. 17th., hurry up and get here, I want to get started. By the way - congrats to April for her win. Wonderful prize.

Anna ~ I have enjoyed making all my cards; whether they be for Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Birthday, Anniversary, etc.  The pride that comes from something 'handmade by me' is one feeling I love.  I receive many comments from friends and family about the cards they receive from me.  They all tell me that they 'save every single card I send!'   Now is that a great compliment or what!  :)   I love your dye cuts, papers, stamps, etc.  They are always so beautiful and 'unique'.  Keep up the great work and you can be assured that I am a BIG fan of yours!

    Congratulations to April!

Anna, these products are off-the-charts wonderful!  The reason that I make your lovely cards are numerous.  First, I totally enjoy it.  It's therapeutic and I love the feeling of accomplishment when I'm finished.  Second, the store-bought cards just don't measure up.  Christmas has always been such a sentimental wonderful time for me and my family, dating back to my childhood days.  It's so special to me that I want to pass that spirit on to others, and your cards fit the bill in every way.  Third, I love to hear the wonderful comments from those who receive them which certainly gives credence to the old proverb "It's better to give than to receive."

I'm geting in the holiday spirit!

    Kind regards from Jarrettsville, Maryland

I love making holiday cards because it extends the anticipation and joy of the holiday season.  Friends and family now "expect" a handmade greeting.  I know many save the cards I send.  Anna Griffin products are the most versatile and classy items available on the market.  It's a win/win for everyone.
